2026 Lenten Appeal – Water Project for the Lunyiko Community - Kenya
and Friends From Afar Scholarship Fund
The Concord–Carlisle Catholic Collaborative is launching a Lenten initiative to raise $12,500 to bring fresh spring water to the Lunyiko Community in Kenya, Africa. This life-giving project will be carried out in partnership with The Water Project, a trusted nonprofit organization that provides sustainable water and sanitation solutions throughout sub-Saharan Africa. They will oversee the planning, construction, community training, and long-term support for this project, which is anticipated for Fall 2026.
Our goal is to fully fund this project during the Lenten season. If we exceed our fundraising goal, any additional donations will support the Friends From Afar Scholarship Program, further extending the impact of your generosity. This program will assist eligible members of the community becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant enabling them to obtain employment meeting critical healthcare needs.
You can support this effort by making a donation online at GiveButter.com or by using the Lenten Water Bowls available in our churches throughout the season.
Pick up your Lenten Water Bowl at church this weekend and help bring hope through clean water.
