The “Elves” from the Parish Fair Committee have been working hard making wonderful crafts to sell at the fair. Our next scheduled workshop will be held on Wednesday, September 18 from 10:00 to Noon at the Parish Center at 70 Monument Square. We will be making holiday wreaths. Let us know if you will be coming.
The Fair will feature crafts, holiday decorations, gifts/regifts, plants, food, jewelry, children’s, new and slightly used gift books, raffle items, a silent auction, and a café. VOLUNTEERS are needed to help staff the tables on November 1 and 2, from 10 am to 4 pm. If you could volunteer to help for a 2-hour or 4-hour shift on either day, please let Denise Webber know.
This week we are featuring the RAFFLE ITEMS & SILENT AUCTION ITEMS. Anita Tekle is the Chair of collecting these items. We have commitments for the following large-themed gift baskets to be raffled off: Italian, Baby, Breakfast, Tea Time, Lottery Tickets. We’d like a few more. Or perhaps you could donate a gift card for a local restaurant or retail store? Or some other item suitable for raffling--$50-$100 price range? We are fortunate to also offer two large donated treasures as silent auction items: a beautiful framed original oil painting from an accomplished artist in the parish, and a large heirloom quality handmade Irish knit afghan.
This is a parish-wide event, and we hope to get lots of folks from both parishes involved. Co-Chairs for the Holiday Fair are Anita Tekle (anitatekle@gmail.com), Meg Moreau (megm52@comcast.net) and Denise Webber (dewebber@comcast.net).
