I was born and raised in Boston’s Mattapan neighborhood, where Saint Angela Parish shaped the foundation of my faith and values. My family was deeply involved in the parish community, and that legacy continues to inspire my work today. As an identical twin to my sister Joan, and sibling to Peggy O’Brien and Fr. Francis O’Brien, I’ve seen firsthand how compassion and service can create lasting impact.
I am a Registered Nurse (RN), hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), and am Board Certified in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing (PMH-BC). My career spans more than 25 years in clinical settings, including Quincy City Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Boston Children’s Hospital, where I served in the psychiatric unit until 2024. I currently work at Guidelight Health, a partial program supporting psychiatric patients with compassionate, integrative care.
In addition to completing the Archdiocese of Boston’s Parish Nurse Program, I am certified as an End-of-Life Doula. These credentials reflect my commitment to holistic and faith-based care—bringing comfort, dignity, and spiritual connection to individuals and families.
I am a firm believer that healing is best nurtured at home, surrounded by love and those who know us best. It is in these sacred spaces that true comfort, understanding, and renewal take place.
