Youth Ministry Re-Launches Summer Mission Opportunities
Our collaborative youth ministry in June 2024 returned from a weekend mission trip hosted by Repair and Replenish Retreat Missions in the Lake George / Adirondack region of New York. An outstanding experience was shared by all of helping a family in need and having time for renewal. Special thanks to the Adult Leaders and to everyone who supported the Christmas Tree Pick Up event that we do each January in cooperation with the Scouts, which funded this experience.
Summer 2026 Possibilities
Fr. Dave and Tony want youth ministry to go on a mission trip in the summer of 2026. We are considering these options:
A. Local organization takes our group to Lake George, NY the last weekend in June to serve people in need in the Adirondacks.
B. We attend a week-long experience with Catholic Heart WorkCamp. Dates and locations vary - visit their website for more information. Many surrounding Catholic communities take groups to CHWC.
We are able to plan for the mission trip because of the funds we raise from Christmas Tree Pick Up. If you are at all interested in there being a mission trip now or in the future, please help this Saturday. The mission trip will be open to teens who are completing grade 9 this year. Parents are welcome to join the trip as well! -
